Pomatomus socks in Jeans colorway

I have been seriously addicted to knitting these socks. I LOVE this pattern. It’s challenging and I love the Japanesey-fishy-organic look of it. It’s certainly not for everyone, but I just love it. And I love knitting it!

It’s going much slower than the Simple Stripes sock since the Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock is a much lighter weight yarn and it seems to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r! But I’m enjoying it so, I can’t complain too much.

So here are some pictures of the completed sock. One down, one to go.

Good Grief, Kris! Those socks are the most artistic I’ve ever seen!! Seems they should be framed and not worn for a second! Love your colors too. Hope you all are having the time of your lives - too soon back to cold weather and bundling up. Hug the boys for me and love to you and your parents, Carole

Gorgeous sock. Once you get the bug for sock knitting it takes over! Sounds like you are having a great time in Hawaii - you lucky thing. Wet and grey here - the January blues are setting in!

What does bockstark mean (pronounced bok-shtark)? My crazy German friend, Matthias, made that word up to mean "really cool" and says that it is catching on in Garmisch. So I am helping him popularize the word! I thought if I ever opened a yarn store, I would call it "Bockstark Yarns". This blog is all about my projects, yarns and crazy ideas related to knitting and other crafts. Contact me at bockstark.knits(at)gmail(dot)com.
