Baudelaire socks

Baudelaire from knitty.com, knitted with Wollmeise superwash sock yarn in Dani colorway (strong medium). Started 2/8/2007, and completed 2/18/2007. I actually knitted 3 of these socks (instead of 2). I finished the first sock and wasn’t happy with how it fit, so I “frogged” it and started over. When I started over, I knit two of them at the same time so I didn’t get “second sock syndrome” – which means you do one and don’t do the other. I actually enjoyed knitting both at once and when I was done, I was done! I am not really happy with the pooling, but loved the richness of the colors. I think the stripes take away from the detail of the lace pattern. I knitted them with two circs, and they are toe up socks and I really enjoyed knitting from the toes up. The pattern was very well designed!
