Finally, My So Called Scarf

I like it already!

I have been looking forward to knitting My So Called Scarf ever since I saw elemmaciltur’s photos on flickr. I wanted to do this in Wollmeise yarn, but I haven’t gotten my order in and I can’t wait the few days it takes. So I’m using my Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted yarn in Gold Hill colorway from my London shopping trip. It’s too bad I don’t know many scarf wearing friends, because I could make one for everyone for Christmas! It’s so easy and fast. I don’t think I’ve ever knitted with size 11 needles and since i’m using my Options needles, it’s a little awkward and man, the stitches are HUGE!

What does bockstark mean (pronounced bok-shtark)? My crazy German friend, Matthias, made that word up to mean "really cool" and says that it is catching on in Garmisch. So I am helping him popularize the word! I thought if I ever opened a yarn store, I would call it "Bockstark Yarns".
