Handspun All Spun Up sw merino in Chocqua

So, for this spin, I did it “fast and free”, meaning I just let go - fast and not too much control/thinking. And man, it was a lot of fun! It’s overspun just a tad, but I am really happy with the results. Makes me wonder why am I so stressed out trying to get it so thin, when it just does it itself! :)

The fiber was given to me by my HHHH swap pal, SourCherries. She totally knew exactly what to pick out. Well, it helps that I leave comments on her stash pics saying “drool” or “OMG, drool even more”. Heh! Thanks so much Ami, you have now turned me into an AllSpunUp stalker. I already ordered some merino/silk.

Wow… absolutely gorgeous!! The colors are just amazing, and the spinning is beautiful! I don’t think it’s overspun… just a nice firm twist that will be great for socks. Well done!

DROOL! Seriously, that is some gorgeous stuff. It looks like I’m gonna have some more competition for All Spun Up roving now, eh?

Your spinning is lovely! It puts me to shame because I just don’t have the gusto to be behind the wheel. I’ve been plying the same yarn for almost 2 weeks. Yikes, I better get back to work.

On my. That’s a work of art, it would almost be a shame to use it.

Ever thought of having an Etsy shop ?

You already got your swap package? Wow that was fast!

Gorgeous yarn. I adore All Spun Up. I stalk her shop on a nearly daily basis. It helps that she’s such an adorable person too.

What does bockstark mean (pronounced bok-shtark)? My crazy German friend, Matthias, made that word up to mean "really cool" and says that it is catching on in Garmisch. So I am helping him popularize the word! I thought if I ever opened a yarn store, I would call it "Bockstark Yarns". This blog is all about my projects, yarns and crazy ideas related to knitting and other crafts. Contact me at bockstark.knits(at)gmail(dot)com.
