OK, I am a few weeks late reporting this, but better late than never! I can always seem to upload Flickr pics but then I lose steam when it comes to actually posting a blog post, or it goes in waves. Anyways, I wanted to get back into the groove by telling you all about my HHHH swap pal.
You all know her (ok, maybe not all of you but most spinners do) and love her spinning. She has a stash that is super drool worthy. Her pictures and her spinning are just the most incredible things.
If you remember, I had already received some fiber from her, which I spun up and even made socks out of one of them:
And then she goes and spoils me even more with all kinds of goodies, some stir fry packets (she tried really hard to find the Kikkoman brand stir fry, but they didn’t have the one I wanted - these are just as good, I’m sure!), a little sampler of some local merino/alpaca blend, crochetted(?) potholders, lots of beautiful buttons (YES!), mini chocolates and some japanese candies (gone in seconds), mini soaks, burt’s bees lip balm, a little knick-knack bag, and best of all, 440 yards of the most unbelievably soft OPTIM HANDSPUN!!!

That’s amazing looking gold fiber and yarn. I have never spun or was interesting in spinning anything gold but this makes me wanna try it!
